The Republican Party Idea The fundamental Republican Party idea, which is also the right-wing/reactionary idea, "tops off" with the proposition that nature, and life, is basically a "one-against-the-other", "winner/loser", "sum/zero", "nature-is-a- basically-hostile" environment type of proposition. While it is certainly true that current societies, and, tragically, large societies of the past few millennia, are organized on this 'reactive' basis, it is not true that nature, or the 100,000 year history of humans, or the basic structure of human behavior is organized on this basis. Thus, while many claim, superficially, that this "one-against-the- other" structure is a scientific understanding of life, the right-wing is aware that there's no science in it, and in fact, refers to mysticism and anti-science when discussing the "high level" of nature. ________________________________ 1b. The Democratic Party Idea The fundamental Democratic Party idea, which is also the basic progressive/left-wing idea, "tops off" with the proposition that nature, and life, is basically a "work-out-well-all-around", cooperative balance of forces, "homeostasis" and "meta-homeostasis", with correctable problems continually arising, and being solved, via ever more advanced developments in nature over millions of years, and among humans over lifetimes. In nature, more advanced creatures are called "new species"; among humans, more advanced overall solutions are called "new paradigms". All this conforms fully with nature, and a strictly scientific understanding of nature, and with a strictly scientific understanding of the human behavioral system within it. Thus, according to the Democratic Party idea, the progressive idea, problems of harm to humans are problems to be continually corrected, healed, repaired, and are NOT an eternal, acceptability of life. The fact that problems will arise is part of the system, but the fact that any particular problem that arises is solvable via a more advanced group of understandings, to be solved and solved for all time, is also part of nature's system. ________________________________ 2. The Development of Consciousness from Primates to Humans The primary advance to humans, from lower primates, is that humans see things not only from each person's experience from their own eyes and ears, but each person combines in their mind the experiences of many many other persons, from many many sets of eyes and ears. Thus, the human mind sees things not simply in reaction to the world, but rather, in a kind of, metaphorically speaking, intellectual "3-D" type vision. Except, instead of just combining two points of view, as in visual '3-d', each human mind, via language and a host of other means, combines the experiences of many many others. This makes for a "systems" type thinking process, able to combine many things and come up with a more advanced solution, a continually 'progressive' correction for previously unsolved problems. This is a very different way of seeing and operating, from what previously existed, in earlier primates and other animals. Earlier animals operate in a comparatively "reactive" mode, as different from humans, who think and operate in a "progressive", or "systems" mode. ________________________________ 2a. The Republican Party Plan Thus, the Republican Party idea, and the right-wing/reactionary/ conservative idea, which again, bears no relation to how humans were designed to operate, involves engendering a reactiveness among people, and all Republican Party policies are designed not only with the assumption that that reactiveness is basic, but to CREATE, among the population at large, a reactive environment, whether it be involving a desperate and insecure economic circumstance, a primarily rote learning educational circumstance, a violent personal circumstance, a predjuiced social circumstance, a mean and tight family circumstance, and so forth. ________________________________ 2b. The Democratic Party Plan On the other hand, the Democratic Party idea, the progressive/liberal idea, which again, fully conforms to how humans were designed to operate, involves engendering a "systems thinking" mode among people, and all Democratic Party policies are designed, not only with the assumption that cooperativeness is basic, but to CREATE, among the population at large, a cooperative environment, whether it be involving a strong and secure economic circumstance, a significantly creative educational circumstance, a non-violent personal circumstance, an understanding social circumstance, a resilient and malleable family circumstance, and so forth. ________________________________ 3. Surviving In One Mode, But Wanting Another Humans find themselves (ourselves) in a society that rewards reactiveness, and all the accouterments of the "nature-is-a-basically- hostile", "sum/zero", "designated loser" idea, and fails those who "cannot compete", or lose the 'competition'. At the same time, being human, we also have a deep background sense that the progressive, cooperative, advancement, "work-well- together" idea, is what we were all designed to operate within. ________________________________ 4a. Republicans Talk Solution, But Enact On The Basis Of Incurability Thus, the Republicans - and the right-wing and reactionaries - knowing that humans 'instinctively' understand that human problems can be sorted out and solved, while they themselves are promoting the idea of "incurability", must continually dishonestly present themselves as solvers, while enacting policies both personal and global that promote the incurability idea. ________________________________ 4b. Democrats Talk Solution, And Enact Advancement And Solution But the Democrats - and the left-wing and progressives - have no such conflict. They talk advancement and solution, they believe advancement and solution, and they enact advancement and solution. ________________________________ 5a. The Republicans Need and Promote Dishonesty Thus, the Republicans need to talk as if they are against crime and violence, while operating in a way so as to make it appear that humans-harming-humans is inevitable and incurable. They, the Republicans need to talk as if they are for education but enact so as to make it appear that people are inevitably just naturally dumb. They need to talk as if they are for strong families, but enact so as to make family life as brittle and intolerable and impoverished as possible, in order to keep everyone in a reactive, and easily manipulated state of mind. They need to talk as if they are for equal opportunities, but enact such that the entire, prejudical "designated loser" system prevails. They need to talk as though they want a strong economy but enact so as to keep most people in a desperate circumstance. They need to talk as though they promote caring for the natural environment, but they explicitly regard nature as the enemy, and enact to destroy it at every turn and in profoundly toxic ways. They need to talk as though they favor science and reason, but enact so as to promote mystical, unthinking, reactive, and anti-science ideas and continuations. The Republicans, and the right-wing generally, NEED an entire social system based on dishonest conversation, dishonest policy making, and dishonest high level fabrications about the nature of life. ________________________________ 5b. The Democrats Need and Promote Honesty The Democrats have no such problems, no such conflicts. Strong public education, a non-violent, conversational approach to problems, economically and emotionally protected family life, a strong economy, an anti-prejudice social environment, equality in fact, a protective and healing approach to the environment, and an accurate, straightforward look at the science of the high level, cooperative system of nature altogether is what the Democrats say they want, and is what they do actually want and actually do enact. In fact, it is the Democrats, and the liberals, and the progressives, who have a need for honesty in conversations, in policies, and in all of life, and for whom dishonesty defeats all that they say, and think, and want, and enact. ________________________________ 5c. The Perpetrators and The Witnesses So, since it is true that The Republican Party, and the right-wing generally operates in a way that demands dishonesty, while the Democrats - and very much Mr. Clinton - operate in a way that demands honesty, what are the primary techniques that the Republicans use to promote and enforce their overall dishonesty system? First and foremost, is the tried and true "Perpetrators and Witnesses" scam that has been promoted again and again throughout history (see file listings below - point no. 8 . . . /howyoutell.htm). The dishonest Republicans find the most honest and principled person that they can, they box-in, or entrap, or sting, or frame-up that fundamentally honest person in a single dishonesty. The incident is then ballyhooed, either via a 'show trial' or some other hidden and manipulative operation. This serves several dishonesty purposes. For one thing, it is used to give the general population the idea that no one is really honest, making it far easier for them, the Republicans and reactionaries, to continue their own all-pervasive dishonesties with impunity. Two, it serves to demobilize and destroy the most alert and principled witnesses to their, the Republicans' own dishonesties, therein eliminating the most alert and articulate witnesses to their own, the Republicans own crimes. And three, it serves to promote a massive dishonesty in society generally, further destroying the ability of the population to figure accurately, pathways toward the self-interest of us all. I've said it before, and I'll say it again - there is no one in a high position of influence in America, who would be more relieved at the dissolution of the entire social and political convention of dishonesty, than Mr. Clinton, and there is no one who would be more terrified of a dissolution of the whole dishonesty dynamic than the Republicans. Of this there can be no question. That is precisely why the fundamentally honest Mr. Clinton, in particular, was manipulatively and entirely entrapped in this way by the beastially dishonest Republicans. The entire case is fully representative of the age-old, "Perpetrators and Witnesses" technique (again, see file listings below) which will continue with a planet-destroying ferocity until it is exposed and arrested forever. ________________________________ 6a. The Republican Idea - And The Right-Wing - Thrive On Economic Crashes. Certainly the Republicans, and reactionaries all over the world, need economic INstability in the moment, in order to create uncertainty and discouragement in the population so as to keep them from voting, which explains the pre-election economic manipulations that have been going on world wide. In this regard, it is fascinating to see how profoundly well aware the Republicans are, that they are entirely unwanted, and indeed, hated, and can only win elections only if few people vote, and how entirely wanted Democrats are, and win when everyone votes. But, more important, the Republicans also feel they need a "boom- and-bust" (mostly bust) economy generally; the 'boom' part so that some wealth will be created, and the 'bust' part to accumulate it for the winners, "and shake down" and "shake out" the "losers". The Republicans, and the right-wing generally feel they need an insecure economic environment for the population generally, in order to convince people that reactiveness, and "one-against-the-other" is "just" the way of things naturally. They also feel they need economic instability altogether, in order to avoid "rising expectations" among the people altogether. For "rising expectations" create the emotional, intellectual, and indeed, even the nutritional room that people need for the sort of systems thinking that brings a progressive, advancement, and solving type frame of mind. For Republicans, and reactionaries generally, they think "the-worse- the-better", for they (accurately) calculate that the more desperate people will become ('the worse'), the more reactive they become, and the more reactive people become the more likely they are to seize on "one-against-the-other" type behavior, and the more likely people generally will be to seize on the "winner/loser" frame of mind ("the better", for the reactionary approach that is). Thus, "the worse" the economic situation is for people, the more reactive, the more easily manipulated, the easier to "shake down" they become, which means "the better" to the Republican/reactionary frame of mind. ________________________________ 6b. The Democrats, and the Liberals, Thrive on Economic Stability The Democrats, on the other hand, need economic strength and stability, for that engenders the room, the breathing space, the nutrition - many types of nutrition - the economic security, the "maps" of the future, that humans require for the type of broader, deeper, more all-inclusive thinking that genuinely cooperative enactments require. It is fascinating too, that generally speaking, with all the talk of Republicans being more in touch with 'business', when it comes to the business of the general public, it is Republicans generally who have presided over "bust" economies, and Democrats who have presided over a strong, public economy. Mr. Clinton, for example, never made much money personally, in corporate life, but as a public official, he has shown himself to be THE MOST COMPETENT presider over the general national economy that America could ever have. Perhaps it should be no surprise that competence in the extraction and accumulation that marks private business translates into incompetence regarding the public's economy, while a man whose most famous private business experience was the personal loss of 50,000 dollars in a business deal, is the MOST competent at handling the public's economy. I do remember Doug Henwood, in his newsletter, commenting that, when asking the traders on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange how they generally voted in elections. They laughed and told him, about 80% of them voted consistently Democrat, because when Democrats are in power, the "pie" itself grows substantially larger, just from their own experience as stock traders. Unlike Republicans, for Democrats, and for progressives generally, it is NOT true, that "the worse the better". In fact, "the worse the worse", and "the better the better". The worse the economy gets, the more tight, viscous and reactive the population gets towards one another, including whatever they seize upon as an alternative. And "the better the better", that is, the better the economic room for people in general to operate, the better able they are to see cooperative approaches to dealing with one another. ________________________________ 7. In Sum, The Republicans Deliberately Want a Crashed Economy And A Dishonest Society, And The Democrats Specifically Engender A Strong Economy And An Honest Society In sum, The Republicans engender, and feel that they need a crashed economy because a.) it "lowers the expectations" of people generally, so they are less likely to demand a just share of the fruits of their endeavors, b.) it creates a more reactive, and reactionary population generally, promoting further the "winner/loser" system, c.) because it discredits public government and general non-hidden systems organization, and d.) because it makes it easier to 'shake down' the population at large, accumulating massively more wealth upwards. And The Democrats engender, and know that they, and we all, need a strong, stable economic environment because that in turn engenders the room for people to think in systems, to figure and operate cooperatively, to come up with healing, curing type advancements, and to build and grow and live in a manner that is in everyone's interest. ________________________________ 8. Vote, AND VOTE DEMOCRAT. I would warn persons to be suspicious of those who would discourage others from voting, by whatever means, subtle or overt, in the current election and in others. Please bear in mind that how elections go has an enormous effect on everyone's frame of mind in the ensuing years, for better or worse. People tend to be far more reactive and discouraged, socially and politically, when Republicans and the right-wing wins, far more difficult to reason with and far more subject to hidden manipulations, by the deceitful, and people tend to be far more prepared to consider things, to weigh, to evaluate, to seek helpful continuations when Democrats are elected. Something will happen in this election, as in others, one way or the other. To do "nothing", does not mean that nothing will happen. In fact, one cannot do nothing. As far as third party candidates go, we, perhaps unfortunately, do not have a truly representative system; we have a "winner-takes-all" system. As long as that's the case, which it is at this time, either Democrats will be elected, or Republicans will come to power. In this election, that is the choice.
